Inverary lies on the banks of Loch Fyne

it has a beautiful celtic cross at the bottom of the main street

and the war memorial looks back towards the town

this wee ship is famous as a tv star!

oh look a castle! but I didnt go in this one.

I guess there used to be stairs in this tower once upon a time

and a mercat cross within the castle walls!

I found another castle!

Kilchurn Castle sits 

at the end of Loch Awe

and has some Awesome views

you need to be careful not to fall over his invisible body!

hes ok sleepoing but the swans are rather large

Loch Lubhair where we stopped for our picnic

the  lilies in my garden are finally starting to flower

just in time for me to go on holiday and miss the best of them!

many of the rooms are very dark and gloomy looking even on a bright day

and some seem to get more of the daily sunshine in but then again maybe it was the camera settings!

but there were lots of chimneys still standing tall above the missing floors.

the challenge of shooting a light patch through a dark tunnel  down in the dungeons 

spooky things happen down there!

through a barred door thorough a window and down the road

up through the missing floor to the top of the castle, we never went up that far that I can remeber

om its the same stairs going up to the living area! 

and there's that bloody tourist that gets in loads of my shots, beginning to wonder if they are real or a spirit that follows me everywhere!

yes still those stairs going up again but I stopped off at this floor first.

after a bit of a wait finally the blue sky started to reflect in the pond

even got an angle to get a wee bit with the boat house

I love the wee pier shooting out from the island

and today an added bonus of a couple of kids adding reflections from the stepping stones

most of the pond in one shot and finalygot the lovely blue sky

but the wind got up so the water was a bit too choppy for the best reflections

instead of blue sky reflected it s green from the trees but the boat house still  has lovely reflections

and doing a great impression of a reindeer

common hogweed or cow parsley I think once its opened fully the flowers are white.
